Economist — Macroeconomic Research

Cover inflation, monetary and fiscal policy, growth and the external accounts for Ghana and selected West African economies, and translate that work into research investors can act on.

What you will do

  • Track and interpret Ghanaian macroeconomic data releases
  • Build and maintain economic time series and analytical frameworks
  • Author sections of FlowWealth economic outlooks and The Macro Brief
  • Assess policy decisions and communicate their investment implications
  • Support advisory engagements requiring macroeconomic analysis

What we are looking for

  • Postgraduate degree in economics or a closely related field
  • Three or more years in economic research at a central bank, institution, or research organisation
  • Strong applied statistics and comfort working with messy published data
  • Ability to explain a macroeconomic mechanism to a non-economist without distorting it

Useful, not essential

  • Experience with Ghanaian fiscal and monetary data specifically
  • Published economic research
  • Working knowledge of French for regional coverage
