Conflict of Interest Policy

How FlowWealth identifies, manages and discloses conflicts between our research and our commercial activity.

Last updated

Why this matters

FlowWealth publishes independent research and also provides paid advisory services. Those two activities can conflict. This policy sets out how we manage that.

Categories of conflict we monitor

We identify and manage the following categories:

  • An analyst holding a personal position in a security or asset class they cover
  • FlowWealth holding an advisory relationship with an entity covered in research
  • A commercial relationship between FlowWealth and an entity whose sector we cover
  • Compensation arrangements that could influence the content of research
  • Personal relationships between analysts and subjects of research

How conflicts are managed

Identified conflicts are recorded in a conflicts register maintained by the firm. Depending on severity, we manage a conflict by disclosure within the affected publication, by reassigning coverage to an unconflicted analyst, or by declining to publish or to accept the engagement.

Where an advisory relationship exists with an entity covered in research, that relationship is disclosed in the publication.

Editorial independence

Advisory clients have no right of review or approval over research publications. Research conclusions are not negotiable as a term of any commercial engagement.

Raising a concern

Anyone who believes a FlowWealth publication has been affected by an undisclosed conflict may contact us at [email protected]. We investigate all such reports.
